When I first started turking, I always chose 3 on the ladder. Even though we were eating rice and beans everyday (and I hate them), I knew I had a roof over my head and food to eat, which was more than a lot of people have. I now choose 5, which is probably a bit of an overestimation, but progress. And for now, we don't have to eat beans and rice every day.

The hidden ones are often quite informative. One of the biggest reasons that people get their reviews hidden is for misusing the FAIR scale. As of right now, FAIR is supposed to only be used for
-Unwarranted rejections
-Unannounced screeners.

But there are a lot of other things that requesters can do that the workforce might consider unfair.

The thing about that scale is that it lumps education with income. I consider myself on the higher end for education/knowledge, but a 1 for income.

True! But...I don't want one ladder for income, one for education, one for economic status when growing up, one for economic status I hope to achieve, one for educational status I hope to achieve.

One ladder is one too many.
