Yeah, that's actually one avenue I've gone down before when thinking about whether we live in a simulation or not. I remember the war game simulations that are run... game theory... etc and so on. It's very possible that our end game content is predicting the outcome of various poor fucking decisions... which explains a lot about our current state of affairs. (I'm trying not to good too deep down into the rabbit hole here by writing 9 paragraph responses.)

Check out some of Thomas Campbells work. He has videos up on youtube and he has written a few books. Hes a physicist who postulates we pretty much live in the Matrix.
