Warning on this one, got screened out for apparently missing an AC *after* completing the entire HIT. TO is full of similar reactions.
And TO mod is asking people to remove their 1/5 Fair rating?

Yeah, because currently "fair" is only supposed to be used for accepting/rejecting. From the FAQ: "fairness ("fair"): How fair has this requester been in approving or rejecting your work?" The scale they're using right now doesn't really match the criteria, as this should be a yes/no question.

I just do not understand the need to police the "fair" rating. Am I in the minority?

I think the word "fair" is usually subjective
but they mean to be concrete as in a fair rejection or acceptance.
but what really bothers me about it is people will always only vote 'fair' when it is in their own favor,
and ... that kind of violates the definition of the word itself.

Being kicked out at the end of a survey is pretty much the same as a rejection (minus the +1 rejection count that doesn't really matter.) I would give a 1 for fair there as well -- definitely disagree with that mod on this one.

That makes sense :) (still in slightly irked mode)

She just responded to my email though:
Thx for your email. Let me check if there is a technical problem here. Will get back to you soon.

Thanks,
Yvonne

Yeah, I don't agree with the FAQ definition that the mods there are operating under. However, I know that's a known problem that a lot of people disagree with. I think it'll be different in the future. :)

How are they broken?
Thank you for your work! Unfortunately, there are no tasks available at this time. We apologize for any inconvenience. Note that this is not an issue with the platform. There are other workers currently working on these assignments, but have yet to submit answers. If they do not finish, their work will be released back into the pool. Thanks for your patience and cooperation!

Not exactly broken but I hate how my returned hits % it's so high because of them
