They could. If the requester reports you to MTurk, then MTurk can take any action they want, including suspension if they want. TOS says they can suspend you for any reason, at any time.

Haha, I hear you on that one. I was soooo tempted a few times. Happens a couple times a month but I'm like..nope. Not worth it. And I have to tell you in my experience I've gotten a lot better response from requesters by just being cool AF.

Requesters talk to each other and they can talk to mturk... there's a reason why the phrase "act professionally" is such a pervasive one in the business world. If you are turking for money... then this is your business. You should consider acting professionally. Part of that is engaging people appropriately, even when they've done something you don't agree with or don't understand. Adulting can be hard sometimes... but learning that you have a limited number of fucks to give before they lose all value, and then giving them judiciously when there is a real need is a valuable skill.

Amazon wouldn't do anything. But if someone seems extreme they can report it to authorities. Bottom line is don't go bat shit crazy in a survey

I, too, probably say more than I should.
I have honestly expected rejections from some of my comments
I feel that they've all been true, and on topic...
but it's like the way my dad describes me, "well... he's quiet.. but once he starts talking, he's really harsh, and you kind of want him to leave you alone"

I'm usually pretty chill and take 90% of rejections with a grain of salt...cost of doing business and such...but this really egregious and I might be a little more on edge from losing my pet this week....guess I'll leave it to percolate until Monday and revisit...

At the end of the day, requesters have all the power and we have jack shit. If a requester doesn't care/know about their TO rating there's nothing we can do. I'm all for giving someone an explicit-laden rant, but really it's not going to do much.

If it helps write them a really, really nice message just dripping with passive-aggressiveness, that way you'll feel a little bit better and they can't say you were actually out of line.
