Oh, I've switched from coffee to caffeine pills, as my performance enhancer of choice(2 upon waking). Coffee is now just a beverage. And, normally turking comes before code but, #100Days and all that. Trying to become one of those annoying success stories that you ignore from Medium.:D
Couldn't break the site, I look forward to your MTS contributions in the future :matrix:.

Caffeine pills make me nervous b/c I'm the kind of doofus that will be like "Well I drink x cups of coffee a day, surely I can take more caffeine pills" and then have a heart attack.
But think of all the surveys you wont have to finish if you can answer "strongly agree" to "I have had a fatal heart attack"

I was the same. I found 2 at a time is the sweet spot. Any more and I'm jittery. Any less and I'm napping at my desk. I really think I have CFS or Narcolepsy or something.

Thanks. I trust your "Wreck-it Ralph" skills. I set up GitHub. You'll be getting useless pull requests in no time.:p

How do I answer that question if I had a heart attack that technically did kill me for a time, but they were able to revive?

Answer all questions honestly, unless instructed otherwise. 1 heart attack will probably get them to double check your responses. 50 is an instant reject, if I were to guess.:)

Jfc...so that's 400mg of caffeine to start your day off with? That sounds like a lot.

As someone who once had, um, a problem with them, and now cuts them in quarters when she uses them at all: you should. The heart attacks/heart issues are real things that can really happen to people.

The problem with caffeine pills is that it's so easy to think "oh I'm tired/my brain is slow today, I'll just take one more" and before you know it you're taking 4 a day, which with the 200mg ones is twice the amount of caffeine per day that's considered safe.

Just had to PSA a little bit, sorry, you're grownups do what you think is best. Back to your regularly scheduled whatever.

That is 100% how my brain works, and I would 100% abuse them. I don't sleep well, I am easily distracted, and I enjoy regular coffee. When I worked on my feet all day I'd regularly drink a few Red Bulls and then a 20oz Americano.

I want caffeine pills to be for me, but I know they're not.

Jelly of those who can take them responsibly... though honestly I love coffee so I'd prob still drink it, too. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

(Luckily, the only thing my brain does this with is coffee/stimulants.)

Oh, they're only 100mgs. Sorry. The little ones. That said, I can sleep on 400. It sucks. Really think there's something else going on. Shift Sleep Disorder, idk. Anyway, an actual coffee does literally nothing. Plus, a 8oz coffee has 95-165mg and a 16oz coffee(or 2 8oz) isn't out of line for most people.:) It's about the same as a big Red Bull or a Green Monster. It's just perceived as more because it's not wrapped in a sugary package. :p Pills=Chemicals=Danger :bode:

I used to take my caffeine pills with a quad espresso, and a mid afternoon redbull. 9/10 do not recommend doing it that way.

*snerk* When I worked on my feet all day and went to brick and mortar school full time, I was at the Starbucks at my store so often that the baristas stopped asking whether they should put an extra shot in my venti doubleshot (which is a drink I don't think's on the menu any more, but the venti already has 6.) I graduated from *that* to the caffeine pills, and...yeah, it was a bad scene for a while. Very, very careful about my caffeine intake now.
But it sounds like other people have more self-control around caffeine than we do  which, I guess I can stop fussing now.

That sounds familiar. Can confirm, would not recommend.
Agreed. Before I had my brush with the widowmaker, my record was about 36 quads in a 6 hour shift. It was dumb. Don't try this at home!
I think part of my issue is a huge tolerance due to overuse in my 20's(as seen above). Anyway, enough on that.:p

I wish they made it more obvious when a requester added a comment/feedback; I love reading nice things after HITs approve. After a while I may not care, but I always check if something was said!
Yes!! It's hard to find feedback in a sea of batch or penny hits, too so I almost never check except in the event of a rejection.

It's possible to get the tolerance down, but it requires having the time for three-day-long blinding impossible headaches that leave you basically useless (if you do it cold turkey, anyway.) I did it back then because it was pretty clear I had to do something, but oh god do I hope I never have to again.
But yeah, you're right, enough on that.
