I made chocolate chip cookies last night, but I did something differently this time and they came out WAY better. I have no idea what I did though! Which obviously means I'm going to have to make a bunch more cookies to figure out my mistake

Random...but what quality about them is better this time around? Chewiness/gooeyness, flavor, etc? I LOVE chocolate chip cookies...and thinking about them is what's current's making me happy today :tearsofjoy:

my rat died last night he had a stroke the other day so i knew it was coming. he was very old, over 3 years old.. so it was time. it just sucks.

I'm so sorry! I had pet rats growing up. They were so smart and awesome. Always came running out of their 'house' when I called for them.

yay! mine is getting there. He's diaperless almost all the time during the day. yesterday I reminded him to pee in the potty and he said "peepee on mommy" with a shit-eating grin on his face.

Random...but what quality about them is better this time around? Chewiness/gooeyness, flavor, etc? I LOVE chocolate chip cookies...and thinking about them is what's current's making me happy today :tearsofjoy:

How do I describe them... Normally when I make cookies they spread out pretty flat. Not in a bad way, but in, like, a cookie way? Crispy on the outside and chewy inside. But these kind of stayed mounded up. So they were really thick and kind of dense, but in a good way. I'd take a picture but... well, let's just say there aren't any around at the moment

I'm no baking expert, that would be my boyfriend. But from what I've gathered watching him in the kitchen, and from my own late night cookie-baking endeavors, you may have used more cornstarch than usual, which is always a good thing IMO. Makes them a bit thicker, more substantial, chewy, all around better! But it's baking, and I'm a noob...it could be so many things. That being said, I second your original plan or ruthless trial and error. Please reach out if you need a taste-tester!
