My son and I are also self supporters but we live in Kansas City Mo, suburbs. Could not imagine living in a place with higher rents and being able to survive.

I miss living in downtown KC. It was much cheaper than here in Austin. Also my Chiefs beanie that Mom sent me should be here tomorrow.

Hello Late start thanks to me not thinking and not taking my tablet/laptop charger with me to the Y this morning haha....Thank you @rsmath for the suggestion with my MTS issue yesterday ...I do plan on probably getting a normal laptop later for work purpose just so I don't have those issues but those alternatives will help until then!

Hooray! This city is rockin this week. Price Chopper closed Sunday for the game. Lived in downtown for a while till granddaughter started school this fall then moved out to Center School district.

does anyone here self-support with just mturk and other sites like it? (without welfare, living by self)

So roommate splitting the bills doesn't count for living by myself? I mean Mturk is my primary source of income and I survive on it. I do have Medicaid but no "welfare" money. I likely could find a 1 bedroom here where I live and survive there without starving to death, so I guess that would be self-support! I just prefer to help my son and his little family while he's getting his degree and has no decent income so we split bills on a place.

I was there in '15 when the Royals won. Such a great feeling in the city and that parade was epic. I bet it is similar now!
