Sooooo the last couple days i woke up and have terrible foot pain. When i first wake up and try to get out of bed and walk i almost fall because it hurts so bad. It eases a LITTLE bit throughout the day, definately the worst in the morning. The current prevailing theory is Plantar Fasciitis https://g.co/kgs/pe1i8p

Its done it a couple times in the past few months, but this time is the worst. With the assumption that it is plantar fasciitis...does anyone have any recommendations for pain relief? icy hot? ice? hot? wrap it up? chop it off and find a new one on the black market?

Funny you should ask this. I got a nasty case of this early this summer when I decided that I was going to do everything wearing only leather sandals (I WAS VACATIONING, OK?)

If you really have it, then it's going to be a while until you're walking normally again. Soaking your feet in your free time helps a little, massaging your sole and doing stretches in the morning help a lot. Try not to adjust the way you land your feet when walking because it hurts - it'll likely only make things worse.

Make shorter steps instead of longer strides because bashing your heel against the pavement might've started the whole issue. Jogging actually helps a lot with the pain, oddly enough. Other than that, it just takes time. About 2 months, in my case.

Oh yeah, get some better footgear with heel support. Boots helped.
