As a landlord, we appreciate it when you clean your house before we come over!

Its not filthy, but I have 2 boys and a 3rd every other weekend so my living room is a disaster area. We also don't use our basement, so I have to make sure we can get to the inside door to the basement. (I could just make him walk around back of the house, but I'll be nice) I have to make sure that the floor looks nice too because we just put all new carpet and vinyl in for him and he hasn't seen it yet. We really try to be good tenants!
ETA: just realized I've lived here 3 years and have no idea which side of the basement my water heater is on.

You sound awesome! I hope the landlord likes the new floors you put in.

(for realz, tho, it is embarrassing to walk into someone's house and it's really messy and they have made zero effort to clean up. I mean, what do I say? Nothing? Or say something so the investment of the owner is taken care of?)
