verizon is doing this in partnership with fooji/grubhub/seamless so they pick a partner restaurant in your area. so if those are the only partner restauarants in your area, i guess that's all they'll show you

Indeed. I'm actually surprised I got anything. The restaurant that is (supposedly) going to deliver this to me is in the next town over. I doubt we're usually in their delivery area. And I'm glad I have some cash for a tip.
