It's general human nature for the brain to be a little more scattered during stress and emergencies... that's why it is important to be prepared BEFORE the emergency hits. Have a plan, rehearse it... back up your data... keep access to sources of information open and up to date... so on and so forth. That way... when the emergency happens you can take care of what is important even when you are completely fried and stressed out.Thanks@catnapped helped me. I feel silly because I know how to do this but my brain is fried right now. It has just been a really stressful few days. Luckily I did back stuff up from the last time you reminded us so I got most if not all of my stuff back. So a big thank you to you as well.
Dropbox is what I use. Definitely a good idea to have it backed up on a source that can be accessed from any computer (dropbox also saves version histories of documents as they are changed too...)Remember to save your backups externally as well. Totally bit me in the butt the last time I forgot to to that.
25 min for me, and yup, last 5 it started seriously dragging, lots of spinning wheel waiting for the next image. This took about 22 mins. for me. The images were loading a bit slowly which may have been due to a problem on my side of things, though.

In my former life as a certified network administrator, working for a credit union (supported 6 branches in 4 cities), by NCUA regulation (FDIC, just for credit unions) , we HAD to have offsite backups, in case our server buildings burned down.Dropbox is what I use. Personally I'm scared.can't wait to see what TissueHime has in store for tomorrow's thread. been on a roll
Hard copy is good... I generally save that for things that are more important than my mturk data. Although, I do keep my most current backups on dropbox and a usb thumb drive the retired ones go into a compressed storage drive. In my former life as a certified network administrator, working for a credit union (supported 6 branches in 4 cities), by NCUA (FDIC, just for credit unions) regulation, we HAD to have offsite backups, in case our server buildings burned down.
So for my own stuff, I keep a safe deposit box, and every few months kick a DVD backup into it, just in case. Dropbox is good too. Cloud is good... I sometimes like a hard copy.
Tickley Dill Weed Wednesday?Personally I'm scared.
They posted a few times today.
