Most of the stuff you can use for hits is simple and repetitive. It doesn't have to look nice, it just has to work.

it's not that hard to figure out a couple useful things just by looking at other scripts code and learning from that.

Most of the stuff you can use for hits is simple and repetitive. It doesn't have to look nice, it just has to work.

Start small and work up. Learn how to mark radios. That is the most common and useful script.
Then go from there.

For scripts for hits, like a lot of the scripts I've scavenged from others have similar things in them to mark radio buttons, fill in text boxes, and whatnot.

Learning what goes where is hard at first but I think codecademy walks you through it in a way that makes it a little easier. The hard part is taking what you've learned there and figuring out how to apply it to something besides the examples in codecademy.

At least that was the hard part for me.
