Love when I see this at the end of surveys, they must not realize that there are thousands of people competing for the same hit. "To receive payment for participating, click “Accept HIT” in the Mechanical Turk window, enter this validation code, then click “Submit”."

Not that I care but, with multitabbing, you can subtract the mturk page load times.
You can't get over the fact the page HAS to load. That is the mturk load time. You can't cherry pick the hit to suddenly appear outside of mturk easily. How many people work grabbing HDI data from an IF ? I don't think anyone. These are basically OCMP hits and with that iframe itself, they load within 0.7 seconds. Quite a fast little server, but most likely he's loading from within mturk so the iframe isn't going to magically appear before everything else. There's no amazing caching technique going on here that he's using.

It's possible to find the url in 5 seconds, but he didn't say that. So if he did mean 5 seconds just to find the url once the hit is already several seconds in, then we need to add on another 4-5 seconds, which makes sense. I thought we timed our hits based on how long it takes to do them by break / batch. On surveys we can estimate a single time but for batches we estimate it through the time each one takes until the next one begins, and 5 seconds in a batch like this is almost impossible. I'll shut up now, said my piece.

PSA Stay the fuck away from straight talk wireless if there is even the slightest chance you will ever need to speak to a customer service rep.....

great service, decent phones, not that expensive... Customer service is fucking painful to deal with. I swear to christ they all drop acid before they come into work.
