In my experience (limited as it is) I have always found that new HITs that have no TO or any previous appearance it is better to contact the requester and make sure you are doing them right instead of just doing what everyone else is doing. Then, if there is a discrepancy between how you are interpreting the instructions and how others are, it can be cleared up.

Unanimous AI sometimes posts qual HITs for the topics the actual HITs are about. The ones I have are NHL, premier league, etc. There was also an Academy Awards one recently so it's not just sports.
