I tried

window.open(document.getElementsByTagName("a")[0].href);

and it would open a new tab, but it was blank.

HITs with the "Click to expand" instructions use an 'a' tag to do that. So the code should be

window.open(document.getElementsByTagName("a")[1].href);

Would probably be better to do something like.

document.querySelector(`a[href^="http"]`)
//or
document.querySelectorAll(`a[href^="http"]`)[0]

That would make sure its a real link.
