I saw that and didn't understand how to use it. And that's what I'm afraid of. messing up everything.

At this point I have "Is 'Get Windows 10' icon app running/enabled?" and "Are Windows to upgrades allowed?" and "Non-critical Windows 10 settings enabled?" set to No. Still haven't deleted the Windows 10 folders or anything since I might upgrade. Haven't had any problems since I started using the program yesterday.

Is it really that difficult to get windows 10 out of a computer? HP has been at it for 2.5 hours and I need my puter back. I can't do transcription on this laptop cause it won'tlet me download the program. I am so angry.

I believe when you upgrade to 10 that it writes over any old recovery partition/restore points and makes a new one that is for Windows 10, meaning there is no "roll back". I know originally there was a window where you could, but I don't know if that's true with the newest versions.

Just FYI, yes, 10 is propriatary and I don't know how to spell that at the moment as I'm quite angry. It apparently takes over your computer with a mind of it's own at some point no matter what you have told it and you get stuck with it whether you want it or not. If this was an 8 it would be ok but I like my 7 desk top as it has been going ok and I hope it stays that way for awhile but I don't want 10 on it. But when I got it I got the best one I could get at the time.
