it's paying attention to qual hits, being in the right place at the right time, scripts, etc. some people make good money, but most have been doing this a long while

Treat it as you would a full time job. Know when to dick around, and when to focus. If you're hooked on gaming or mmos, then you're SOL. Be able to identify a good batch from a bad one, and pay no mind to the concept of "scared money" until after it bites you in the ass. Eat your greens, wheaties and soylent green.

And even after all that, hope that you don't burn yourself out by the next week and end up negating everything you've done the week before.

I think it just encourages a toxic atmosphere where no one wants to help each other, which goes against everything that these forums are supposed to be.

agreed, then you do a survey where there is a bonus and trying to be fair to the others and get fucked over. I try to help generally, however, I ain't posting everything I'm working on. Didn't mean to ruffle any feathers
