I am trying. I asked her what kind of birthday does she want and she said Kitty Cats LOL... So that should be easy enough. I have made friends with someone on Facebook who does professional cakes and she is going to help me with mine to make sure the same disaster doesn't happen as last year LOL.. So it's pretty much all about the money now.. That and I want to make her dress but I still need to buy the fabric... Sigh I need to win the lotto Haha

There are really quick and adorable kitty cake designs! You only need a couple of pans for the first and the tail and ears are scrap from the smaller head shape. And the second is really quick and is so cute it always makes me smile. (neither of these are my photos, but I've made both designs before). I know you said your friend is a pro, but I grab onto any chance to talk cake

That second one is so cute!!

Right?! If I have to make a cake for a holiday or picnic, that's the one I do. I don't do the detailed flowers at the top, usually something simple and color coordinated to the holiday/event. People *always* grin at it and I am most definitely not a great decorator. It's also nice because the size can easily change to fit the amount of people.

Cute, I do have a professional who is going to be helping me I am so excited cuz she does great work and she has donated so many cakes to the local community to like single moms who cant afford one.
