UPS driver sneezed all over the packages and almost in my face, although even holding three fairly large packages he managed to bring his forearm up in time and turn his head, as I simultaneously ducked and took cover while dousing both of us in sanitizer. No more direct accepting of packages for me, sign and leave at door tag them all.... Even my fearless dog, took off running when he heard the sneeze.

And the cologne you were wearing? Deodorant? Spring blooming around you?

Well technically even if he has allergies, he might be infected and the sneeze droplets might be, my only mistake after ducking and taking cover is I should have deployed some type of protective body roll out of the area.

But mostly, I’m scared about what message we are telling our kids when faced with a threat. Instead of reason, rationality, openmindedness and altruism, we are telling them to panic, be fearful, suspicious, reactionary and self-interested.

That cat looks much like our Main Coon. 'Cept she had a big white ruff on her chest, like a lion. She was more calico, too. Miss her.

I can say that I no longer complain about them leaving my packages out by the street at the front gate. I even let 'em sit awhile in the sun. Air is good. Sun is good. Both kill them germs thingies.

I can say that I no longer complain about them leaving my packages out by the street at the front gate. I even let 'em sit awhile in the sun. Air is good. Sun is good. Both kill them germs thingies.

I was just thinking that exactly earlier, my mail delivery many times is just left at the door, and both fed ex and ups do that as well, no more issues about that with me. Even though there is little risk from the packages and minimal contact, if you are vulnerable or live with someone that is, all precautions are wise.

I don't know. She just showed up, fully grown, in a tree. Wouldn't come down. My dad pointed her out to us. He'd sit on the patio reading and saw her first. She refused to come down(my mother's six dogs might have had something to do with that). After two days up that tree, I came outside and found her sitting in my dad's lap while he read. Being petted, of course...First thing she got was a trip to the vet for shots. He asked us where we got a Maine Coon cat around here....well , they grow on trees.
