Dinner is served! And already ravenously eaten. A chicken/stuffing casserole. Made of Stove Top dressing(from box, with added chicken meat base), Tyson chicken(in pouch), green beans(canned), chicken gravy(from a jar), candied sweet potatoes(from can, but actually candied in oven), jellied cranberry sauce(well, of course in a can), and I believe I'll have a coffee now(yes from a jar). All shelf-stable cooking--or as I like to call it--make your own TV dinners, 'cause that's what it tastes like.....Anyone who needs further enlightenment, I'll be glad to cough up any help I can(maybe all over your shoes)!..................now what shall I make for dessert? I'll haveta look in the pantry.

A favorite recipe of mine is Peach or Apple Cobbler. https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/7987/peach-cobbler-dump-cake-i/ I have made this for years and have also halved the recipe and used those jiffy cake mixes and one can of peaches.

Love it! Casseroles are always a great option!!

I'm happy to give out tips, tricks and recipes as well! I'm so used to only being able to grocery shop once a month and on a mega tight budget so I make stuff stretch far. I will admit I'm lucky because I have a good size garden throughout the summer and I roast and freeze, dehydrate and occasionally can fruits and veggies to use in winter and spring, so that makes everything taste fresh and tasty. But, soups, casseroles and stews are always my favourite.

I'm having a frozen Shepard's pie for lunch. My plan is to eat through my individual frozen meals to free up room in the freezer since making shelf-stable cooking results in extra servings which I'll need to freeze.

I wonder if everyone's done hoarding yet. All I need is garbage bags and paper towel. I miss being able to buy stuff online.

Doubt it. :turtle: hoarders waiting for stores to restock.
I'd go to the more expensive place down the road, I know they are mostly fully stocked. But there's a creepy guy who works there and he always checks me out/tries to make awkward conversation with me any time I go there. I need to find my wedding ring!

Please at least be interesting this time.
Felt like the whole 2 hours this morning was just talking about masks.

I haven't found anything but I got notices from two different services - Yeah this morning was just a big opportunity to talk about same old stuff. [edit] I see that there's an adjournment of the relief bill for the day so maybe something thought there was a deal and jumped the gun thinking it would be announced ?
