That seems like a lot. I live in a 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom apartment and with the fridge, tv's, my aquarium, my computer and all the other crap around the house we pay like $100 bucks less than you. No electric heating here though and the stove runs on gas.

we have electric heat, no gas. it just seems like a lot and it's putting a huge strain on our budget. ugh I hate being an adult. I don't feel like one

Electric heat would definitely do that, especially if you keep it nice and warm.

Yeah and if the house isn't well insulated it drives up the costs like crazy. I know because we have crappy thin walls and keeping the house cool during the summer is a constant struggle.

we were through the winter because new baby and it's a mobile home so drafty as hell, but this last month we ran it about half as much and the bill was still just as high :/
