My adoptive mom is Japanese, born in 1941 in Hawaii. She lives in California and said "They took everything from my family when I was a child, I have lived through wars, racism, diseases, 4 kids, and my husband dying". She is staying in not for her health but for everybody else. She figures her father lived to 95, her mother to 93 and just lost her brothers last year. She told us 4 kids to stay in because as she put it, she ain't raising no great grandbabies.
