If I am not mistaken, you can not be evicted in Kentucky at this time.

that's true, so it'll buy me a few months. but that doesn't really help me when the order is lifted

I do have a lease. they're suddenly saying the proof from amazon isn't enough and I need actual paystubs, even though I'm, you know, self-employed.

Check the lease over, many take tax returns (they can get the transcripts) if it is managed by a property management company that should not be an issue. If you have not violated the lease, always paid rent on time, I would contact any of the states legal services ASAP (either way). They will look over the lease for you and help/suggest/seek remedy, I am sure they are busy now with all things considered but act soon.

I gave them my schedule c, bank statements, and screenshots of money transfers from amazon. none of that is sufficient apparently, they want a record of how many hours I work provided by Amazon, which they aren't accepting that that isn't a thing. I'm going to contact my state ombudsman and see if they can help.

What about your disbursements to your bank? That's proof of money and where it's from. ..Were I you, I'd contact the local legal aid office and see if they can sort it out. That whole thing sounds a bit flimsy. ''Paystubs'' sounds like a shifty work around the law. You can always be self-employed to get on federal programs. A great number of people are just that. If your right to live there is based on federal law, there may have been a sneaky change in the law..or that department's reading of the law.....or something even more unethical.
