Do you use a budget? I really like the EveryDollar App. It helps a lot to at least know what you are spending.

my food budget is calculated very carefully. I plan out meals and make extra for lunches. Soups are great - and I make my own stock (veggie) in the crockpot.
But my best savings tip is cook from scratch. I spend about 70 per week for the two of us, plus the dog and the cat . All cleaning supplies (limited as they are - I use vinegar and baking soda) also come from that budget.
(Is that what you mean? Or do you mean set up a savings account that you cannot touch............?)

I'm just naturally frugal but I love buying clothes. I just always look for sales and try to get the best bang for the buck.
For instance, ASOS had a camel colored, wool blend topcoat that was originally 106 but was on sale for $60.
I then went to their asos spain website and found out it was cheaper there. I then purchased the whole thing for $50 even after the conversion from euro to usd.

Also, try not to spend more than half of your weekly earnings a week.
It adds up.

I also use the Mint banking app. I check how much I spend and what I spend it on and keep myself accountable. You can set up your monthly limits too.
