Thought I would share, just in case :D
Yeah, that's the danger in blocking stuff. You can't block phrases/titles that are too generic or else you'll probably kill off something decent that might show up.

Don't people realize that be offended is a choice tho?
I kind of agree with this. If someone asks me to address them in a particular way I'm more than willing to comply, but don't get offended simply because I haven't learned what you prefer to be called yet. And quite frankly I'm a bit sad that we are creating a society where anyone is expected to anticipate that sort of thing. If I'm being aggressive or offensive, then sure, I deserve a reprimand. I'll take the chastisement and process it as I will, but often I don't think that's the case at all.

 that's kind of the opposite of what I meant. Unless I misunderstood Tjololo @Tjololo , blocking a hit title will only block that exact phrase, as it is, by itself.

Or you know, I'm extra dumb and I will go edit my post.

You explained non-wildcard blocking exactly. "word" will only block a title that is "word", not "This survey is about a word". Enabling wildcards means you can block "*word*", which would block anything that contains "word" in it, like "This survey is about a word"

I agree with this, but I also agree with the people who say they won't change how they reference people. Of course, there is consequences to all of our actions. If its a businessmux then they may lose business or if its a parent they may lose their child.

YES! Not dumb. Thanks TJ
Some more examples:

When I click the "T" button, I block the whole title of the hit, that's why it doesn't show up anymore.

If I block "Easy fast hit", and someone posts "Easy! Fast hit", it will *not* be blocked.

If I block "Easy*fast*hit" and someone posts "fast easy hit", it will *not* be blocked.

If I block "*easy*", any hit that contains the word "easy" will be blocked.

If I block "*easy*fast*", any hit that contains easy THEN fast, will be blocked. IE "Easy fast hit" will be bocked, "Easy! Fast! Hit!" will be blocked, "Easy survey, should only take 3-4 minutes unless you're faster" *will* be blocked, because "easy" is followed by "fast". However, "Fast easy hit" will *not* be blocked, because "easy" is not followed by "fast"

You have to be careful with wildcards, because if you block "*transcription*", you can block a hit that says something like "Not a transcription, do a survey for science!"

Also, if you block a word, it can match *partially* with another word. For example, blocking "*fast*" is different than blocking "* fast *". *fast* will match with faster, but * fast * will not.
