Ok. That all sounds legitimate. I don't like their practice of approving more than one person and making people race to put the deposit down (we don't do that to avoid potential discrimination accusations), but it's not a scam to do that. And requiring a money order is very smart on their part. People bounce checks all the darn time!

I am betting that you won't get something in writing that says you can back out if they don't do the repairs/maintenance items they say they will (if they have more than one person approved, why would they?) but that seems like only a small risk from what you are saying. Especially since you know people who have rented from them and they like the company.

It's usually "Private Owners" who run the scams (note: most scams are not the owners, just claiming to be). Most companies that have a physical presence that you can go into are not scammers. They *could* be jerks, but not scammers :)

Their office is also in a really well thought of area in this city if that helps. But honestly I don't think I'm going to be fighting with anyone if we like the house we're gonna put in the deposit tomorrow and it's not schedule to be up for open viewing until the 17th. I doubt many people will fill out an app without being able to see it.

Ok this is new to me. I completed a Croma Lab HIT and something flashed up and said we've detected something and it shut me out? Couldn't even read the whole reason why.
