Honestly, thats how I am right now half way through it
Transcription is one of those things that you either don't do or pretty much do exclusively for one requester. Otherwise, it doesn't make sense to keep up with guideline changes, shitty reviewers, fairly low pay...etc.
On the other hand, if you have a really good ear for dialect, muffled words, good headphones, patience, a good way to control the audio speed, and type really fast, there will always be work to do.
I took one of those speechrobot hits that pay a few bucks. You only had to transcribe whatever the child said while they were being interviewed. I got frustrated after 10 minutes. I was only 2 minutes into 10 minutes of audio. Most of it was the interviewer talking that you didn't have to do anything with. That seems like good paying transcription (you can only do one though) and it still ended up not being worth it.
Of course, I have the Disney channel playing full blast in my ear all day so...
