The other day Reddit had a thread about earning side money and someone recommended government health studies. I live next to a few pretty large research universities and decided to look into it.

I got myself registered for a study where I supplement fish oil and do some baseline fitness tests (walking, jogging, etc). All I have to do is 1 physical and 3 test days. Total payment is $1,600. I'm about to go all in on the human guinea pig approach.

My grandfather was a very healthy farmer who was never sick until he got a sinus infection. The doctor got him to test some experimental drug (and sign all his rights away). Within a day of taking that drug his body started shutting down. They had to put him in an induced coma as one by one his heart, kidneys, liver, etc. quit working. He was hooked up to tubes and kept alive for several months. It was a painful death with lots of suffering. We all believe that he would still be alive and well if they had just given him antibiotics. So I would not recommend being a human guinea pig.

It should have still sent it. It did that to me the other day and I got a response from the requester later.

I don't know why anyone would do a 1 cent HIT that requires more than a click or two. 4 fields is an automatic "wtf are you thinking?" for me

Took a nap after more hospital fun (note to self: you aren't ready to drive yet). Now I'm gonna work on A9's for a rocking Friday night I guess? I've been doing so well turking lately (for me, not you $200 a day weirdos) I hate to lose momentum so I'm gonna try and get to at least $10 before I officially give up.

The 2nd batch they have up is only 2 clicks..so that's like, a 3rd gear "wtf are you thinking"?

it really doesn't seem to matter to a lot of workers who keep doing them price drop after price drop....to the point it's not even a single click per penny anymore....when this batch gets done, and you know it will....it will come back with 6 clicks, then 8 clicks and so on...

Once upon a time, it did seem like it was possible to get enough people to stay off a batch for long enough that the requester would feel motivated to raise the pay. It's been years since I've seen that happen, but there was a time that it did. I don't think those times are coming back, though
