yep. 577 is an awesome price for those specs. only other suggestion would be to see if you can find something for the same price (i7, atleast 8gb ram) that also has an ssd. Find something that uses integrated graphics instead of dedicated (like the Nvidia 960m) cause that's aimed at gamers and will cost more

She may have not been one (I haven't payed attention fully) Because she didn't have the ability to? Also you never know if someone wants to branch out into gaming. I say, if you have the money for it, and are fine with it, toss it at her and see if you can get her into something like Slime Rancher* to start the journey. (*or anything else that fits their tastes be it horror or what not)
