Hell around here you can end up on the registry if you get caught taking a piss in a parking lot so I can understand that sentiment.
And that is the issue with the registry. It's almost too all encompasing and covers topics that some people fall into just from making dumb mistakes and poor life choices.
Now, the biggest issue I have is that the law is too vague.
The complaint from earlier is that there are people living close to the school. Try this one.
I live near Steubenville Ohio. We made it big for that rape case where a few football players were caught jerking off on this girl when she was passed out and forcing things inside of her.. They took pictures of her while naked and doing these things to her. The one guy has to register as a sex offender. Next year, he attends his Senior year of school and is allowed to play on the football team again all while being a registered sex offender.
He deserved to be on that list, but the law states he is not allowed by a school. Yet, here he is, attending and still playing football....
The controversy runs a lot deeper than just that and some school officials were removed because of it, but this is the short summary of what happened.
