I was paid ok for the time. I was earning 42K a year, but it averaged out to $3/hour sometimes. You are salaried and expected to work a lot. Usually 60-80 hours a week. It is always something, some holiday, or inventory, or a manager visit.oh I see, I hear they get paid pretty well. Hope I can get promoted to something from cashiering, some time down the road. How do they promote, do they just say hey you are doing a really good job, do you want to be a ..... or do you have to fill out an application.
what did you start out asI was mentored by my Manager, and he told the District Manager how good I was, then they did an interview and promoted me. I had to do a training program, I even got to go to Bentonville to the Home Office, but they don't do that anymore.
Photo Lab Associate, a position that doesn't even exist in most stores anymore.what did you start out as
that sucks, that is why I think I would rather stick with being hourly. But I will be working 60 hours a week between my two jobs. Should be interesting.I was paid ok for the time. well that sucks, but I do know two people who did get promoted, so there's that. I would rather be on the sales floor but I don't know if the pay is the same or not. Oh well it is what it is. It won't last forever, unless I really like it, and want to stay there forever and forever. LOLPhoto Lab Associate, a position that doesn't even exist in most stores anymore.
It is really hard to get promoted from Cashier, because you have no opportunity to learn other skills or help other depts.
Yep, but I learned a lot from the experience.mturk is way fucking better than that.
Try and get into the TLE, Tire and Lube Express or Electronics, if you see any openings in those. They have the highest pay range.well that sucks, but I do know two people who did get promoted, so there's that. I would rather be on the sales floor but I don't know if the pay is the same or not.
