What in blue dress yanny does the thread title mean?

Many years ago, I thought something in the room was making this high-pitched electric frequency type noise. I went around the room and turned off anything that was electric. Only then did I realize that the buzz was in my head. It's louder at times than others and at given point of the day, I most likely have something on (music, tv, etc) to distract my brain - which will focus on what's playing rather than the buzz.

Sadly, there is no cure, treatment or anything for tinnitus. And like @Devil_Dawg said ... it can be maddening at times.

I have that when I get a migraine, it can last for days...I wonder if that's tinnitus or just part of my migraine?

I developed it almost 12 years ago after a seriously potent regimen of steroids and antibiotics to deal with a medical issue. It's equal in both ears and always, always there. Most times I can forget about it, but at times like this when I'm thinking about it I realize it is pretty loud. It's exactly like the ringing I used to get in my ears after loud concerts before I started using earplugs (which I have used religiously since developing it so it won't get worse!)

They say it hasn't affected my hearing (hearing tests claim my hearing is great) but my kid swears I cannot clearly hear anything as I often have to ask him to repeat himself repeat himself.

It's ok most of my day consists of me staring at HF and contemplating whether I should go out and get a job. Then I realize I hate people and I'm super comfortable in my pajamas.
