Been turking since 2012 and I've noticed a significant number of people get masters and then just drop off the face of the earth. Anecdotal I guess...but yeah...I think masters experience the same amount of turnover non-masters do.

Right, but people on the forums are more likely to have masters so you're interacting with a disproportionate group and will notice a lot of masters leaving. There are probably boatloads of people who turk for a month or something, but no Masters who do.

with so many people (989!) who got it, there's no way it was a secret batch IMO. It's just random. They didn't give it out for a year and a half so they were like "oh shit let's just give it to everyone I guess"
