So last night we went to the track awards banquet at the school. Our son is a freshman and he told us he didn't think he was getting anything...he ended up lettering and being given the golden spike award for MVP. Apparently he got the award for always doing what he was asked, asking anything he could do to help and basically always helping out. They even pointed out that you didn't have to have the best numbers to get the award..

He was pretty shocked he got the awards.
