Because when you update HITDB, it uses a ton of requests, and will hit PRE on its own. Its best to not do anything mturk related when you are updating it.Does anyone know why Hitdb Mk2, everytime I update the db I get a exceeded max server requests? I just started using it, using it on a clean profile and all scripts are off
ah, but that timerThey will conveniently be fixed as soon as I go pick up my son and run a few errands. By the time i get back, they will be gone lol

It is my thought for whatever that is worth, that most of these are social experiments/contracts and I go into them that way. I'm not sure which one you are discussing but I think I saw it yesterday. I didn't do it. I know my triggers and there are some places I will not go such as a qual survey yesterday that asked for some very personal info and I returned it. All that for a quarter? Not here. It's just programming and if we go into them that way and like you are doing, throw back the ones that are too much for us, we might survive this thing. Afterall they don't call watching TV, TV programming for nothing.Maybe my comment in the post seemed ignorant haha. I understand why they did it, I just feel really bad for the people who did it and were severely triggered. I've had my fair share of triggering studies on here so I can relate. And I understand requesters need certain data that they may not put warnings for. It's just sad how many people were triggered yesterday and that it continues to trigger them
It's a never ending error. You sure It won't cause Turk to ban me?Because when you update HITDB, it uses a ton of requests, and will hit PRE on its own. Its best to not do anything mturk related when you are updating it.
I literally just upgraded to that last night. Just let it run and it'll finish eventually.Does anyone know why Hitdb Mk2, everytime I update the db I get a exceeded max server requests? I just started using it, using it on a clean profile and all scripts are off
You'll be fine, the same thing happens to everyone who uses HITDB.It's a never ending error. You sure It won't cause Turk to ban me?

Not if she's lactose intolerant, you monster.
Yeah I agree. I always look at studies, and if I am uncertain about accepting them, sometimes I will look at the hit link to see what it's all about. I know my triggers very well and if I am not confident I can do a hit (like all those gore ones for example) I avoid it entirely. It just isn't worth the money to me if it means I'll have a panic attack or flashbacks of something. If it was me who had done that hit, I would've returned it at the point of panic and made sure to personally email their account if they provided that in the beginning of the study. But I ended up returning it before I got to the bad section so it did not personally impact me.It is my thought for whatever that is worth, that most of these are social experiments/contracts and I go into them that way. When requesters write stuff like "10 MC", I read it to mean there are 10 memory check questions and my brain immediately goes "NOPE!", even though they mean 10 multiple choice questions...

That "How did you play with your kids" one was 300 words and you can take it multiple times. Few pages back.Anyone know some good writing based HITs? I feel like writing today/tonight. I'm imposing that break now though. I've at least gotten a couple dollars today so that's good enough til I feel better.
