i went very deep on a mtc after dark one day last week. in the future i think people will have the ability to edit their genes and be able to live 200-300 years

And during that 200-300 years I bet that will be extended further.

I mean it's a long shot but there may be people alive today who will reach the "technically immortal" stage. May not actually live forever, but may be physiologically healthy at 500 or 1000 - though just imagine the last 100 years from steam trains and cowboys to motorized brain-controlled artificial limbs and stealth jets and smartphones and let's go *back* to the Moon.

I think editing genes will be controversial and risky for another 20-30 years, maybe, and then it'll be like "can you imagine what it was like when billions of people had hereditary poor health?"
