So I have a question. I've got a friend who is trying to join mTurk, but for some reason, they rejected her without cause.
It's her first time signing up, she already had a regular Amazon account for many years, she lives in the USA, and she's an American citizen. I'm not sure what else Amazon needs! Has this ever happened to one of you, or someone you know, when you first signed up? Or was your transition into mTurk smooth as butter?

Really looking for some answers here, because her rejection doesn't make ANY sense.

They have been rejecting people a lot lately. No one knows why.
Sometimes they will invite them in the future.

Imagine you're babysitting and need to write a short text to mom about what her baby did in the last couple of hours. Talk about eating, playing, crying, sleeping, pooping, diaper changes, colics.

Amazon doesn't reveal their algorithm for accepting new workers. So noone will be able to tell you why she wasn't accepted, not everyone is at this point. It may be that her certain demographic has already reached its quota or it could be for a completely different reason all together. Others have been rejected and will continue to be rejected. Sorry for your friend
