I'm not southern by birth (or geography lol), but I swear it's in my blood and I can't wait until we can move south! I however, was taught to cook by my grandma who could only make like 3 things really well lol. Everything else I've learned myself. What part of SoCal are you in? Lived in Oceanside/29 Palms for a few years a hundred years ago lol.

Yeah, I'm not southern by birth, but I went to Clemson and I snagged me a Georgia boy, so I have a small amount of southern food sensibility lol. I can chicken fry a steak and tell the difference between good and bad bbq at least

I'm out in the high desert/mountains near Mojave. Matt works for Scaled on the Stratolaunch project, so we moved from georgia to here back in October. I love 29 palms! We were camping out in Joshua tree a couple months back and Matt basically had to tear me away from all the hiking!

If I'm feeling frisky: Long Island Iced Tea (the drink of my peopleeeee!)

If I'm about to get crazy: Shot of tequila (the other drink of my people) and a glass of dr.pepper. If I've made it to tequila shots and Matt hasn't noticed...it's about to get real weird. Especially when the tequila comes after the LI tea.

I don't drink often cause for some reason it makes me overheat and feel like shit after one beer. SOMETIMES. Not all the time. But the one time I could get tequila in my enough to get drunk without feeling like ass I pantsed a bucket. By putting Pants. On a bucket. My husband asked why? I told him because there would never be another change to do so. Those pants have stayed on the bucket for 3 years now. He sits in a chair in a corner holding a plant. With pants on.
