Went to Church's for the first time in years today after you guys were talkin it up last night. It was pretty good, but the chicken wasn't really any different than what you'd get a grocery store or gas station that has fried chicken. The prices were a lot better than KFC though. For what an 8 piece with no sides costs there, you can get a 12 piece thighs/legs with 2 big sides at Church's. You also get served by enthusiastic middle aged immigrants instead of shitty high school kids that don't want to be there.

I still like KFC though and don't understand all the hate. We should love all of our fast food brothers and sisters.

Fried okra is pretty good tho.

No, you get one mashed tatoes and if you get another side, something else that's just as good. The ratio of mashed tates and gravy to chicken gets way off if you don't.

Most places just give you a free tub of gravy with the purchase of the potatoes anyway.

Fried Chicken not usually. Only tenders, but only if they're the thick crunchy Dairy Queen-style. If the breading is thinner and closer to a nugget, like at Zaxby's or Caine's or something, then you dip it in dipping sauce.

My preference is KFC original recipe- all white chicken breasts, dipped in honey. Mashed potatoes, and an extra order of gravy so there is plenty for the biscuits I order with it!
