Will one you people make my husband quit for real? He's using nicotine patches but he still smokes some too. He just started the patches like three days ago, though.

Despite the negative connotations of vaping and how "cool and edgy" it is/was for kids to vape and do sick cloud trickz brah...it actually helped me quit smoking all together a few years back. I tried one of those gas station ecigs at first and realized that wasn't cutting it, and bought a vape for myself after doing some research. Nothing fancy and I don't make my own coils or do any of that insane stuff. I, like many others, enjoyed the sensation of smoking (and the nicotine addiction sure helped). So having a patch or gum or whatever else wasn't feasable for me because I wasn't physically inhaling something. To this day I still use the vape, and over the course of a few years have gradually lowered the nicotine levels in it so it's like an ultra light cigarette. Not only do I feel a TON better after using it for years now, it's also much cheaper than buying a pack a day here in NY. If he can break the stigma of feeling stupid using a vape and try it, it might actually help. Good luck.

As someone who lost their dad largely because of tobacco usage for 55 years, I love seeing people kick the habit.

Same, my grandma. She quit long before she got cancer, but all those years before doctors started saying smoking is bad for you were enough, I guess. It didn't seem fair. Still, 10 years after quitting smoking, the risk for lung and many other types of cancers drops dramatically, so the sooner the better!

The Blu e-cigs were enough for me and my husband to quit a few years ago. I really say give them a try. Or if you got the balls go cold-turkey. It sucks for a good week but if you can man through it it's the easiest way.
