Morning all!

Been busy and not really turking right now. Just got back from Reno/Lake Tahoe with @Gator And we have been looking at houses in Florida. Have put offers in on two and been outbid on both.

It's a bloodbath here ( orlando). Where were you looking ? My sister just sold her house and got 12 offer in the first hour, it ended up selling for $450K listed for 400 and she bought it for 320 only 2 years ago.

It's a sellers market up here, in New England, as well. (Though not that good!)

I'm not intending to sell anytime soon (wish I were!). But after daughter graduates college - I think I'll move closer to Maine (I want to be near the ocean)

Long story short, no. People need a place to live and there is only so much land. Build new houses? In most cities around the country, there isn't land. The land that is available will require a 45-minute commute or longer. What will be a catalyst for people to sell? A recession. A full-blown recession with massive job loss. Right now, there isn't an incentive to sell unless you are leaving the city you currently live in. Why sell your house if it requires you to go into a bidding war to get a new one? Boomers are living longer than previous generations and Millenials and gen Z are entering home-buying stages. Demand isn't going away and supply can't keep up

My computer pooped out on me yesterday. Until I can get a better one I was thinking of getting a cheap Chromebook. Anybody have one that they use their extensions on? Trying to make sure extensions work on Chromebooks before I buy one.
