well this is the worst news i've gotten in all my years as an online worker. On 6/10 I was FORCED to update Windows and started having audio issues. Turns out I had even worse RECORDING issues and I guess I'm out over 200 bucks.

I think you should fight them on payment because you have to pass their microphone check in order to proceed with the tests. Since you passed all of their mike checks each time you did a test, you would have had no idea there was distortion or any issues. They took 2 days to let you know, when you had zero indicators otherwise. They shouldn't hold you responsible for that, IMO.

I tried in vain to reinstall it after I found out how bad Win10 was....and I refuse to shell out $140 to get it....and too scared to torrent it nowdays....RIP Demonoid

that "i'm ready to think out loud" can be triggered by any sound in a microphone, and when I'm talking at full volume, the volume indicator during the test barely moves.

It usually is triggered just by me plugging in my headphones before I even say or do anything.

I've managed to keep the same ISO backed up for several years. I'll be using this OS until I physically can't anymore.
