Same thing happened to me with Choice Lab- What did you say to them in the e-mail?
I just explained to them that blocks are bad, as they can lead to account suspension. I told them I don't intend to ever do any of their HITS again. I pleaded with them to use a qualification to prevent retakes as opposed to using blocks. One of them (I think Choice Lab) had a retake prevention type qualification in the last HIT they posted.

Most of this is hyperbole. There are to my memory no reported cases of retake blocks causing a persons account to be suspended. Further... the number of reported accounts suspended for blocks at all is fantastically small.

The same can be said about the rejection hyperbole.

The more we lie to requesters the less they will trust us.

Call it what you want. It may be a lie to you, it's not to me. Take those chances with your account and let undeserved blocks stay on your account. Most of the stories I read about people being suspended were because of an accumulation of blocks. There is also a debate on whether there is any difference between a "hard block" and a "soft block." What is not debatable is the fact that multiple blocks in a shot period can lead to account suspension.

There is no debate about hard blocks and soft blocks... unless you want a flat earth debate. They don't exist.. those are terms turkers made up. There is only 1 way to block through both the web client and then api.

A "re-retakes" block is entirely deserved if you've taken the survey they don't want you to retake. That is an appropriate officially documented use of the system.
