Appen is looking for crowd sourcers. I work as a web evaluator for them and that has sucked trying to get hours the last couple weeks. I'm not sure what their crowd sourcing platform is like but some of you should check it out and tell me so I can quit my web evaluation and do that if it's decent.

Appens crowdsourcing is exactly like mturk except theres way less competition. No pandas, no scripts. No individual survey type hits, just big batches of work. Most of it underpaid, but sometimes you find some good stuff. I remember last year I found a batch that worked out to 25 dollars an hour and I made 700 bucks on that batch alone before it went away forever.

Why are they asking me to do that?

Because they are going to send you a new unit... and they aren't going to have you ship back the defective unit... and are asking you to effectively destroy it. (apparently because power cords can't be repaired by mere mortals.)

It sounds like they are wanting you to trash the old skillet so you can just throw it away
