I used to go hang out at the airport / by the airport and watch planes and people. Can't really do that anymore. Enjoy your time at the gate! You can usually see some pretty cool stuff. I guess it depends on where you are flying out of. Portland's airport is pretty cool.

I like to eavesdrop when I go to places with lots of people. Not for any particular reason, just listening to the way people talk is interesting.

I understand all that. I still become an asshead the day of flying-mostly terrified I forgot something or the hotel doesn't exist. My worst case scenario happened this year flying back from Ft. Laud: Airline I don't normally fly with kept pushing our flight back until late, then cancelled telling us they had no more flights for three days. Bad thing was we just found out my grandmother was having emergency surgery next morning. Sooooo.....$1600 later for last minute tix and a red eye flight and we were home.
Perhaps the Monster (I like the capitalization there) will now proceed to Teen...wait, that might be a synonym for Monster, or at least it was in my house.

Well now I'm afraid my hotel won't exist and I'm not even staying in a hotel. (I've been given appointments on days things were closed, so I wouldn't be surprised to show up at the airport and the airprot be gone.) That sucks about your flight :o

And she somehow hit monster teen status years ago.
