me: (not knowing how to quote someone from yesterday, so copied the link)

So...
I'm new, so you'll have to tell me how -- because I think it's a good idea.

How would I as a requester ask people here to be the only ones who get to find my published batches?
Few options

You can create a qualification and then ask people to send you a message asking for it -- and give the qualification to those people. Only allow the people with the qualification to work on the batches.

You can make some kind of passcode and then in the HIT specify only the people with the passcode can work on the HITs. Give people here the passcode and reject HITs that don't include the correct passcode.

Can a Turker search for a qualification by its unique name?
That way I can set it up on my end, and only reveal its name here in the forum.

I think you can password the study. Then just put the password here. That might be easier than a qualification.
I think that's one more step than I will be needing.

Ok, so today has not been a good day...
Found out that my husband didn't book our hotel room for this Thursday-Sunday a month ago, when I had everything up on his laptop and told him to do it. So we're now going to be crammed in a small 2 double bed room, instead of the 2 room king bed suite that we had planned.
I went to run errands and the check engine light came on in the Jetta and it was having some problems shifting...so yeah...all of the shit is hitting the fan today.
Even without knowing the year it's probably not your actual transmission. Volkswagen is notorious for ECU failures and stuff. Don't take it to a normal shop, go somewhere that specializes in German cars. They cost more on paper but they'll probably save you a lot of money when it comes to diagnosing that issue. Could be a throttle body problem, a RPM sending problem, even a blown relay, lots of things but Getrag transmissions are known to be very overbuilt.

Edit--I worked in a shop that specialized in Audi/BMW/Mercedes/Porsche/Volkswagen and had a guy come in to the shop after spending $5800 on a new transmission at another shop on his S/C 911, after having the same issue we replaced a relay under the back seat for $16. German cars can be weird to diagnose to any mechanic that's unfamiliar with them.
