Description: This study will begin with some questions to assess eligibility. If you are eligible, you may choose to proceed to the consent form, and then (upon consent), you may continue with the rest of the survey.
If you are not eligible, there will be no negative consequences to you - you will simply be redirected to the end of the survey (and you will not receive compensation). You may only participate in this study once. You will only receive compensation if you complete the entire study.
Participation in this study will involve completing a single study session. For the session (which lasts one hour), you will be asked to 1) answer survey questions about your cigarette use, cravings, and behaviors and 2) complete a 50-minute set of computerized tasks examining your decision-making and reward learning behavior, both before and after viewing pictures and listening to stories. You will be randomly selected to either listen to stories and view pictures related to cigarette use or view neutral images and listen to non-emotional stores. The experimental session will take approximately 1 hour. By completing this study, you will have up to $6.00 deposited to your MTurk account.
