I would almost agree with you, but if you work hourly and finish quickly. You only get paid for the time you worked. I knew people who used to drag out work (construction) just to earn more.

Construction. It's so true. I used to deliver the parts to job sites for an HVAC company. I was the only guy in company besides the ppl in the office that wasn't union. I always worked my ass off and skipped lunch to finish by 2:30 so I could beat the traffic going into the city. I can't even count how many times I was told "Slow down man, you get paid by the hour".
