Not a good day at work. Several people out and today they decided to cut overtime, so no one is staying over to cover. Which means I (and others) get a lot of extra work fixing stuff that I've never seen before. If that isn't bad enough, I head to the restroom and someone had shit down the side of the toilet. Who does that? Go to the friggin' ER if you are that out of control. Or wear diapers. OR CLEAN IT UP.

It's just that it's a quick way for people to feel superior. Like they go, " Haha you said a double negative that means it's a positive", well language isn't math so fuck you. Don't get me wrong, I love language and good writing, but it's all made up, the "rules" that are there don't matter one bit if you're getting your point across.

It's like telling Cormac McCarthy that he can't write because he doesn't use quotation marks for dialogue. How boring language would be if we never deviated from what's accepted.
Exactly so! Vocabulary superiority was my best emotional defense against bullies in 7th grade, but fortunately I made it past that stage (Eventually. Mostly). :D

Edit: ah crap, I put my period outside of the closing parenthesis. Screw it.

Does anyone else have an issue with neither the radio keybinds script nor the multibind sript seeming to work on the image rating A9s? When I press a number, it sorta greys out the radio buttons, but it doesn't fill any of them in.
Anyone else have this problem? Does anyone know if it's just graphical? These would be a nice batch if I could keyboard them, but all that clicking is too slow.

I've been doing these since last night. I've got about 3800 of them pending. If you try to click on one of the circles without using any keybinds, it does the same thing as it does when you do use them (on my end anyways). So I think it's just the HIT itself. It's obviously registering my answers because it lets me submit the HIT, and you can't submit them without selecting something. So we should be good. With keybinds I'm making over $8 an hour so it is a decent batch.

I've noticed that when you completely turn off the bind it works like normal, though. And I thought it let me submit one without filling anything out when I tried before? Guess I'll test again.

Blugh. The button doesn't work, but hitting enter does, whether anything is filled in or not. Have you gotten any accepted yet?

I haven't gotten any accepted from this particular batch, but I've done tens of thousands of HITs for this requester and have had literally none rejected (and I know I've messed up on several). I've tested trying to hit the submit button without selecting anything and it doesn't work, so it's registering something.

Well, I'm pretty sure I had the same problem for the last batch like this one, so I suppose it should be all right . . .

kind of a big risk, though.

They used to have Hemingway writing contests - where you were supposed to write in his style.
That sounds SO easy. You know?
until you try to mimic the cadence - the narrative - the sadness - the humor..........then it falls apart

Isn't that just fan-fiction and you end up with 50 Shades of Grey? Shudder.
