I was an Assistant Manager there for 4 years and I had to fire many people. A couple for what you are talking about. And none of them thought it was an honor. Most cried because they didn't know how they would feed their kids.

I don't think it is fair for you to ask someone to put their job at risk, just so you can get a 10% discount.
You could probably find a better deal online.

Used to work as a team lead for Target and they were always so strict about that. Especially since people would use their discounts to buy gift cards first and then stack it on top of their ED trying to game the system. Just be sure you aren't present when making the purchase and just have her tell the other employee she's purchasing it from that it's for her. You wouldn't believe how many times people got in trouble for using their ED for someone who technically doesn't qualify for the discount.

I was a sales manager for Circuit City (rip) back in the day. My boss there used to work for Walmart. He was one of the guys they would send in to take over a store if there was a hint of unionizing, It sounded like a living hell to work at.
